Privacy policy

This policy explains how Hitechies Enterprise Solutions BV ("we") handles personal data in connection with Optwise. We are the controller for the data described in sections 1 and 2. For consent records collected on our customers' websites, we act as processor; see section 3.
1. Customer accounts

2. Visitors to this website
This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies and loads no third-party trackers. Fonts are hosted on our own servers. Our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security, for up to 14 days.
3. Visitors to our customers' websites
When a visitor answers a Optwise banner on a customer's website, we store a consent record for that customer: a random consent ID, the choice, the time, the policy version, the language, the page address, the browser's user-agent, the country, and the IP address shortened to its first three parts (IPv4) or first three groups (IPv6). The website operator is the controller of this data and decides how long it is kept. Questions about it should go to that website's operator; we will help them answer.
A visitor's choice is also stored in a first-party cookie on the customer's own website, so the banner is not shown again.
4. Who we share data with
Only with the service providers listed on our sub-processors page, under written agreements, and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
5. Where data is stored
Account data and consent records are stored in the European Union. Where a provider may access data from outside the EEA, transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to sales@optwise.eu. You can delete your account yourself in the dashboard. You also have the right to complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), www.dataprotectionauthority.be, or to the authority where you live.
7. Security
Connections are encrypted with TLS, passwords are stored with scrypt, access to production systems is restricted, and consent logs are hash-chained so changes can be detected.
